Planning Meeting for New Worship Service: A lunch meeting for those interested in planning for an alternate time and style for worship at FPC - After Church School TODAY at the home of Dennis and Donna Schonewetter: 7981 Brookside Dr (336-9686). All who wish to contribute to the planning process are welcome. Per Capita Announcement: For 2009 our church will be sending $32.50 per member. Note that the special envelope offering envelopes states the amount as $30.00. This $30 amount was estimated at the time of printing. Help Is Needed: Shirley Sutter will soon be undergoing surgery and we need someone to substitute in the Nursery while Shirley recuperates. Please let Diana know if you can help us on a short-term basis. There is nominal pay for this service. Herb and Jessie Thorpe are back by popular demand to lead us in
an insightful and thought provoking class entitled, “Exploring Race, Creed and
Culture With A Vision for The Future”. They will share racial
perspectives, personal history, present day directions and host a discussion
on the impact of the Obama Election. Join us in the Choir Room on Jan. 11th
and 18th for this timely and meaningful mini class. First Pres Readers will
share a Book Talk followed by lunch on Jan 31st at 11:00AM. We will meet at
church in our parlor to discuss Randy Pausch’s
book, “The Last Lecture”. Join us
